Mary and Baby Jesus Nativity Amigurumi Pattern

I made this Mary and Baby Jesus couple from a free pattern available from The Crafty Cattery.

I used Lion brand Homespun yarn, which is my most favorite acrylic yarn in the whole wide world. I also haven't added any hair yet.

But, I love her because she is holding Jesus instead of staring down at him in the manger. We all know that as soon as he was born, she held on to him and never let go. That's how birth works - the baby comes out, you snuggle it for several months before you start letting it out of your sight for more than a few minutes at a time.
