Please Do Not Crochet This

I don't follow blogs that mock crafts, partly because sometimes the things they post as No-No's are things I actually think are cool. I happen to like that kid's crocheted squid costume, thank you very much!

However, some things cross over that fuzzy line of questionable taste into the definite territory of "offensive."

Please do not crochet this Native American tissue box cover.


This token of decapitation is available FOR PURCHASE, not for free. It's listed as a Thanksgiving crochet pattern. You put this emblem of Native American hospitality OVER A TISSUE box, from which you withdraw things used for blowing your snotty nose.

Do not crochet this. This is many, many levels of wrong.

This needs a matching one with blond braids. I can just see the tissues poking out of the top of the white pilgrim bonnet.
