Nesting Like Crazy

I finished 3 projects in the last week. The first was a bed liner to put under my 4 year old at night. He wears a thick cloth diaper at night, because he's a deep sleeper and doesn't always wake up to use the potty, but lately he's been waking up, taking it off, and coming back to bed, all without remembering that he did it. After washing the bed twice I decided to sew a pad. It's only 2 layers - Polar fleece and terry cloth. but, it does the trick. I just sewed the two pieces right sides together and left an opening to turn it right side out and then top stitch all around.

Connor picked out the fleece.

I had a little terry cloth left over, so I also made a portable changing pad to keep in the diaper bad. The blue water-proof layer is PUL. The terry cloth is in the middle. The outside is a pretty fat quarter I bought a few years ago. I just couldn't decide what to do with it. In the end, I've decided to let my newborn pee all over it. That makes sense, right?

Here's a close up of the pattern.

Last but not least, I tried a free Lion Yarn crochet pattern for a bunny snuggly. It's supposed to be done with wool yarn and then felted. I used some organic cotton that I received for free from a friend. In the end it wasn't the best choice because it made the bunny larger and heavier, which will be fine for an older baby, and not the light, wash-cloth size more appropriate for a teething infant. Still, it's cute, so I'll put a face on it and set aside for when Moira is older.
